Family plays a critical role in the society. Do you agree?

I agree to a large extent. Firstly, I shall elaborate as a perception of a parent. In a family, there are children, it is the basic unit of a family. As what famous politicians have said, the country's children is the most precious resources. They are the future leaders of tomorrow. They are required for the survival of the country. In order to fulfil this basic requirement, they must at least have the moral values and the knowledge and skills to enable them to perform this purpose effectively. So the next question is: Where do they start?

The answer would obivously be their family. Children are born into their family as a baby. It is their family who plays the most important role in shaping their character, behaviour and moral values. Be it as a baby, young toddler, primary school kids, teenager or a young adult. They still need to have guidance and support from their family. It is also certain to say that they too learn from their family, especially from their elders eg. parents, grandparents, uncles, aunties etc. They learn life experiences, knowledge, skills, all these will be incorporated into their lives. Without their family, they can be stray kids, only to grow up to be a bon in the society and eventually harm the society. Therefore, i agree to a large extent that family is important in playing a critical cole in the society.

However, there are also other important factors. The school and media too, play an important role. The school helps to educate the public, especially the young children. The institutions will help them in discovering their skills and talents. It may be due to the fact that they spend at least the whole day in school which makes schools very important too. As for the mass media, they too play an important role. The influence of the media can be bad or good. It can influence the mass public through newspapers, magazines, television programmes etc. And the public do learn and absorb when they get in contact with these medias. Thus societies do change because of media.

Above all these factors, family is still the most important.Through out the growing stages of their lives, children still have to rely on their family. Schools change as they grow up, but their family still is their basic support. Their families do not change.

HELLO! my first time posting on a blog. My name is Eric Khor Jia Jun. As you people know, I am a GP freak! I LOVE GP so so much!=P . Let me introduce myself vividly:

I am a tall bespectacled guy who is currently studying in Anderson Junior College, class 11/07. My class have a lovable and cute PD tutor, MR ONG!! My birthday falls on the 11 of November, that is 1111. Cool right? Thats so easy to remember. My previous school are Zhonghua Primary, Xinmin Secondary. Both are wonderful and popular schools in the neighbourhood. Now something about my favourite hobbies. I love BASKETBALL! BASKETBALL IS MY LIFE! Its become a part of me since I was in primary school. Playing the violin is also my other niche areas. Currently, I am in Grade 8.

I hope my time spent in Anderson JC for first three months is fruitful and enjoyable. And hopefully, my O level results will be wonderful.
